“Our wedding day had huge importance to us, as I have been a bridesmaid 7 times, so you can imagine the anticipation. We wanted something really special, we really didn’t want it to be clinical or contrived, opting for a church hall and winter affair, minus too much tradition. I vividly remember our first meeting with Bespoke, as we rather nervously (mostly the bride to be) discussed our food favourites, the blank canvas seemed daunting. We had a lot of fun reminiscing about our first date and meals we cooked for each other and realised how our love of food has developed over the years. The tasting was spectacular, chef Chris took over our kitchen and wowed us with our winter menu… we didn’t change a thing, we didn’t have to. He just got us! He had listened to our every word, from cured beef, to Fraoch poached chicken (my husbands favourite ale) with all the trimmings, to a damson frangipane. Our wedding meal was like having 166 people to a spectacular Sunday roast, the biggest we would ever serve. Kelly and her team effortlessly glided around our 16 tables (no mean feat). Our guests were equally as impressed by the graceful staff, there was no flapping here. The floor was just oozing with wonderful winter aromas and shortly after the starters the comments came flooding in… wonderful to hear this on a day that you have waited so long for. Sharing food on such a special day with our nearest and dearest was precious to us and will be treasured forevermore. Bespoke? One million times, yes, like no other.”
